Mission

This was a school project to design a magazine for a National Park. I chose Yosemite and it features photographic elements with Half Dome on the cover. The color scheme and typography are complimentary and easy to read. The logo was also specifically designed for this project.

Mission

Develop a mock magazine advertisement for a Kick-Starter company. I chose to create an ad for 3 Mead who makes honey wine. The article features the up and coming company with a tag line that I created. The illustration uses similar colors to emphasize the original honey wine flavor. The bottle is growing on a tree like a honey bee hive would. The grid is highly focused on the illustration with left adjusted text at the bottom. The angular direction of this ad directs your eye across the page in one simple direction.

Mission

This was a school project to design a magazine cover and a two page article spread. The magazine features a young lady aimed at the target demographic for the event. The long shadow and color scheme keep the brand elements and make it stand out.

Mission

Develop a double spread layout magazine for an article that is of personal interest. Original photography was used to add to the article. The images were captured from my personal garden. A 3 column 6 row grid was used for this layout. One image was edited to remove the background which allows it to be part of the article instead of being framed in. A second image on the last page was edited to break out of the frame.

Mission

Develop a double spread layout for a magazine. The article highlights a current artist and uses their pieces within the article. I used one image twice within the article with a two column layout. The larger portion of the image is split between land and sea across the two spreads to frame the text. The second image is featured at the top of page two to show off it's original state. The colors in the text are pulled from the image and inspired by her hand lettering.

Mission

Design a menu for your fusion restaurant. This was a school project where I combine two different cuisines, designed the name and logo, and the brand identity for the restaurant. This menu utilizes the brands identity with the colors and pattern on the cover.

The layout inside the menu is a single column menu with bold text to create hierarchy. The simple hierarchy makes this menu easy to read and organizes the items from least to most expensive.
